Kim Mulkey and her Tigers followed that up with consecutive wins, the second of those being the biggest win on the season by any team in women’s college basketball when it upset then No. 2 Texas, 70-65, Sunday inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The win surged LSU back up the rankings.

In this week’s USA TODAY Coaches Poll, LSU (16-2, 2-2 SEC) comes in at No. 6, a change of six spots, the second largest move of any team in the top 25.

The Tigers are the fourth-highest ranked team from the SEC in this week’s poll behind No. 2 South Carolina, No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Vanderbilt.
