The second season of the Jan Jensen era has officially arrived.

Iowa returns with the Hawkeyes’ season opener against the Southern Jaguars to tip off the 2025-26 women’s college basketball season. Iowa enters the season ranked as the nation’s No. 23 team in the preseason USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

Iowa’s roster is headlined by senior forward Hannah Stuelke, who was named to the preseason All-Big Ten Team. Stuelke was also named to the Katrina McClain Power Forward Watch List and to the preseason Naismith Trophy Watch List.

Stuelke is joined by talented transfers Chazadi “Chit-Chat” Wright and Emely Rodriguez from Georgia Tech and UCF, respectively.
