No. 11 Ohio State women’s basketball (19-3) has struggled to put together a full 40 minutes of solid basketball over the last month, which coach Kevin McGuff wants to change against Nebraska (16-5) on Feb. 1.
The Buckeyes have recorded seven wins across the previous eight games, but fell behind by as many as five points during five of those victories.

When facing Wisconsin on Jan. 29, for instance, Ohio State went down 18-9 in the first quarter before coming back to defeat the Badgers 81-58.

“We have to get off to a strong start,” McGuff said. “And weโve always had tough matchups with Nebraska. Theyโre very skilled, and theyโre very well coached. They run a lot of good plays offensively. And so, if you donโt lock in and be aggressive and disrupt what theyโre trying to do, they get great shots.”
Nebraska opened the season 13-0, going undefeated in non-conference play. Once getting into the Big Ten schedule, the Cornhuskers took a dip, leading to a 5-5 conference record.
