The BYU Cougars are on the road at Arizona on Wednesday night. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this year, with Arizona having won the first on Jan. 26 in Provo by a final score of 86-83.
At that point, the Arizona Wildcats were still undefeated, and the Cougars still had star-senior Richie Saunders.

Arizona’s record on the year is 23-2 now, with those two losses coming in its past two games. The first blemish came at Kansas on Feb. 9, then on Valentine’s Day (Saturday) against Texas Tech in Tucson. That game went to overtime, where Arizona fell by a final score of 78-75. The Wildcats are 10-2 in the Big 12.
BYU last played on Saturday, with Richie Saunders tearing an ACL less than a minute into that game against Colorado. The contest went into overtime, and BYU hung on to win by a final score of 90-86. The Cougars are 19-6 overall and 7-5 in conference play.
BYU and Arizona have played each other 42 times previously with Arizona having the 22-20 edge. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor favors Wildcats over Cougars, giving them an almost 82 percent chance of winning the game.
