World University Games: How to Watch the Action and Follow Results From Germany
The World University Games begin this week in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany, with the Opening Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, July 16. The swimming competition will run for seven days, from July 17-23 at the Schwimm-und Sprunghalle in Europasportpark, located in Berlin. The competition will follow a prelims-semifinals-finals format.
The United States, coached by Arthur Albiero, is sending a 40-athlete squad to Germany. Preliminaries are scheduled to begin each day at 9 a.m. (Berlin time), with finals scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
What Events Will Be Contested?
There will be 42 events raced over the seven days of the meet, with semifinals scheduled for all events up to 200 meters. The full schedule, including event order, can be found at the link below.
