I was born and raised in the cold desert that is Utah. And if you know anything about Utahns, it’s that they LOVE dirty soda (try it and thank me later) and wearing shorts and T-shirts in the dead of winter.
OK, maybe the last one is just me. For the longest time, I was averse to layers.
In my old age (27 never felt so old), I’ve become more acquainted with the idea of dressing appropriately for the weather. And now that fall has finally made its way to my new home here in Virginia, it’s about time to bust out the hoodies.
I recently took a new brand for a spin, one that I’d never really heard of until this year: Turtleson.
Maybe you’re already familiar with them. Maybe you’re not. They’re a smallish menswear brand based out of good ol’ Bristol, Tenn. Their logo is sweet, and their stuff is fairly pricey. But after taking their Bellfield hoodie for a spin, it’s hard to be too upset.
When I say it’s one of the most comfortable hoodies I’ve ever worn, I mean it. It’s buttery soft on the inside and has a pleasant texture that creates a wonderful hand feel on the outside.
It’s one of the lighter hoodies I own, making it darn-near perfect for fall.
The only fault? That darn pricetag. I can’t confidently say that everyone should rush to spend $150 on this guy. But I can say that if you’re looking for a lightweight hoodie that’s more refined than your typical athleisurewear, the Turtleson Bellfield is a great place to start.
