Junior Nationals Day 2: Ian Call Breaks Meet Record in 50 Breaststroke
The 2025 U.S Junior National Championships continued from Irvine, California, with the Day 2 finals.
The lineup for the second day includes the 100 freestyle, 400 IM and 50 breaststroke.

Junior Nationals: Women’s 100 Freestyle
Pleasanton Seahawks’ Liberty Clark dropped nearly a full second to claim the 100 free title. The 17-year-old got to thew all in 54.41.
Beach Cities’ Gabi Brito took the silver in 55.49, ahead of Bellevue’s Heather White (55.51).
Patriot Aquatics’ Aria Grossbach took fourth in 55.77, followed by Lakeside’s Kenndi Southern (55.91), Orinda’s Stella Canoles (55.99), Metro Atlanta’s Sarah Paisley (56.09) and Lakeside’s Lily Andruss (56.47).

Mason Manta Rays’ Jason Zhao held off Enzo Solitario in the 100 free. Zhao won in 49.32, ahead of Solitario (49.73) for the gold.
Neptune’s Finn Brophy took third in 50.11, followed by Hornet’s Luke Vatev (50.14), Mason Manta Rays’ Brady Campbell (50.19), Pleasanton Seahawks’ Tim Wu (50.42), Sierra Marlins’ Brody Chandler (50.45) and West Fargo’s Brody Engelstad (50.94).

Quest Swimming’s Emerson Callis used a strong start to hold off the field in the 400 IM, winning in 4:42.39.
La Mirada Armada’s Kayla Han took second in 4:43.06 and Scarlet Aquatics’ Chloe Kim took the bronze in 4:43.32.
Tideriders’ Sydney Schoek was fourth in 4:43.43, ahead of Pleasanton’s Teagan O’Dell (4:48.30), Long Island’s Una Diaz (4:52.09), Razorback’s Hayden Gibson (4:52.43) and SwimMAC’s Avery Klamforth (4:54.27).

Long Island Aquatics’s Sean Green continued his strong meet with a win in the 400 IM. He got to the wall in 4:15.53, besting the field by three seconds.
Carmel’s Yi Zheng finished second in 4:18.55, ahead of Gwinnett’s Baylor Stanton (4:19.48).
West Coast Aquatics’ Syunta Lee was fourth in 4:20.69, followed by SwimMAC’s David Sammons (4:22.26), Marlins of Raleigh’s Ian Stutts (4:22.28), La Marada Armada’s Anthony Dornoff (4:25.52) and SwimMAC’s Eli Sweet (4:27.06).
