This past April, a trip to the upper Niagara river had me testing these baits with Zman’s Cory Schmidt. I had never fished with a new fuzzy style bait, which consists of many appendages that move around at rest, attracting more bites. The fishing in the river was a bit slower this particular day, according to our guide, so Cory and I decided to tie on the Fuzzy BugZ™ to see if it could convince some quality smallmouth to commit. Long story short, it did. Cory Found success fishing his on a ZMan ned jighead, and I utilized it with a dropshot. We caught some high-quality smallmouth on the bait, making me a bit of a believer in these new fuzzy style baits.
