Aug. 14—MOSCOW — From around the 15-yard line, sophomore quarterback Joshua Wood dropped into the pocket and fired a strike to his favorite target, sophomore wide receiver Tony Harste on a post route in the end zone. One play later, Wood found redshirt freshman Ryan Jezioro on a crosser to the left corner of the end zone for another score.
The offense found much more success on Wednesday than in recent practices on Day 12 of the Idaho football fall camp at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.

The teams practiced mainly in the red zone and also four-minute and two-minute drills.
Sophomore safety Hayden John said that the offense performed well on Wednesday and is forcing the defense to perform stronger.
“The offense is pushing the defense to be better,” John said. “Those two-minute drills, it’s good to get that experience, and moving forward we’ll be ready (for) game time for those two-minute drill (and) four-minute drill situations.”
Offense, new QBs shine
The biggest offensive standout from Wednesday’s practice and a player who is working his way up the depth chart throughout camp is Jezioro.

The receiver caught two touchdowns during the red zone period of the practice. His second touchdown was a 6-yard grab on a throw from sophomore quarterback Jack Wagner.
During the four-minute drill portion of practice Jezioro found some success in deeper routes.
Freshman quarterback Sawyer Teeney found Jezioro on a crossing route for a nearly 30-yard gain.
A few plays later, Jezioro caught an out route for 15 yards.
From a quarterback standpoint, Wood and Teeney, of Silverton, Ore., are taking most of the snaps. Josifek was working with the twos often, but on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week he and Wagner seem to be taking a back seat.

From the red zone, four-minute and two-minute drills, the drive counter was as follows: Wood (4), Teeney (4), Josifek (2) and Wagner (1).
During the red zone portion, Teeney completed a pass to junior tight end Chance Bogan for a score from the 7-yard line.
Wood has had success on medium and intermediate passes since the first day he arrived in Moscow and that did not stop on Wednesday.
During the final two-minute drill period, Wood found sophomore running back Art Williams for an 11-yard gain. On the next play, he ran an option keeper for 8 yards.
Two plays later Wood completed a pass to Harste down the seam for nearly a 20-yard gain.
