The mystery behind Kyle Flecher’ s revealing new artwork on AEW Dynamite has officially been solved.
On the August 6 episode of AEW Dynamite, Don Callis made a scene in the ring at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Alongside Kyle Fletcher, he unveiled a bizarre painting that had fans in the building chanting “shut the fck up”* before the canvas was even revealed. Callis had claimed he spent two full days painting it himself.
But that wasn’t exactly the truth. It turns out the real artist behind the controversial piece is none other than Mel Coleman. Shortly after the segment aired, she took to Twitter to post the original concept sketches of the painting featuring Don Calis posing alongside a Kyle Fletcher with the TNT Championship belt.
The sketches show a clear evolution of the final piece, which fans saw live on Dynamite. With Fletcher wearing signature shades and striking a confident pose. Don Callis called Kyle Fletcher “art,” and now we know who helped bring that vision to life. Mel Coleman has been known in the wrestling art world for years, but this AEW cameo just brought her work directly into the ring—literally.
With the Don Callis Family turning up the chaos every week, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this isn’t the last time we see art used as a weapon of crowd control.
