Iga Swiatek shared that she was cracking "little jokes" in Jannik Sinner's ear during their Wimbledon champions dance and admitted she found the entire thing a joyful experience.
In mid-July, Swiatek landed her maiden Wimbledon title in literally the most impressive way possible after annihilating Amanda Anisimova 6-0 6-0. By doing so, the world No. 2 became the first player since Monica Seles in 1988 to win a Grand Slam final with a double bagel. Also, the 24-year-old became the first player since 1911 to win a Wimbledon final with such a scoreline.
On the other side, Sinner also collected his first main glory at The Championships after beating Carlos Alcaraz in four sets.
After becoming Wimbledon champions, Swiatek and Sinner joined forces for a traditional champions' night. During the ceremony, the champions usually dance together. Since both the Pole and the Italian are a bit introverted, some wondered whether that would happen – but it happened.
Swiatek: Sinner felt pretty relaxed… I kept making little jokes in his ear
"I think Jannik was feeling pretty relaxed for a number of reasons; l also wanted to ease the atmosphere, so l kept making little jokes in his ear. He was mostly leading, I just tried to keep up – since that's kind of how it goes in dancing I guess. On the other hand, we both knew we didn't want to try anything complicated, so I really enjoyed it and I hope we'll get another chance sometime," the Polish tennis star said on Polsat Sport.

For Swiatek, winning Wimbledon was more than just collecting her sixth Grand Slam title as it also marked the end of her 13-month title drought. Since then, the Pole has won two more titles in 2025 after making it all the way in Cincinnati and Seoul.
