No. 23 Tennessee (8-4, 4-4 SEC) will conclude its 2025 college football season in the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl on Dec. 30. The Vols will face Illinois (8-4, 5-4 Big Ten) at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kickoff between the Vols and Fighting Illini is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. EST (ESPN). The contest will be the first between the two schools.

Ahead of the Music City Bowl, Illinois redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Jeremiah Warren announced he will enter the NCAA transfer portal.
“While I am so grateful for my time at Illinois, I will be entering my name into the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining,” Warren announced.
The 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman appeared in 26 games for the Fighting Illini from 2023-25, totaling 13 tackles. He went to Illinois from Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan.
The NCAA transfer portal will take place Jan. 2-16, 2026.
