CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — It seems like Thanksgiving was relaxing for Illinois women’s basketball, as they destroyed Le Moyne after the holiday.
The Illini (6-1) defeated the Le Moyne Dolphins on Sunday, 100-28.

The game on Sunday is what most consider an all-around game. The orange and blue had six players record double-digit scoring, with Berry Wallace, Destiny Jackson, Aaliyah Guyton, Gretchen Dolan, Maddie Webber and Cearah Parchment all hitting the mark.
Parchment, a true freshman, has been on a tear to start her collegiate career, and Sunday was no different.
She started off hot in the first quarter, matching her career high in steals, with a nice coast-to-coast bucket.
That steal would be far from the last one she would record, though. She would end up finishing the game with an astonishing 10 steals and securing the rare double-double that isn’t just points and rebounds or assists.

For the second game in a row, it was Maddie Webber who showed out of the bench. Webber, who had struggled coming into Wednesday’s game against Western Kentucky, has really turned a corner.
She banked in a three at the end of the second quarter and hit a lot of shots that seemed like they just weren’t falling in the first five games of the season.
It’s not every day that you see triple digits for a college basketball team, but for the Illini, holding an opponent to just 28 points is equally impressive.
The Illini held the Dolphins to 22.9% shooting from the field and 9.1% from behind the arc. That’s definitely a recipe for success as the Illini head into conference play.

Stat Stuffers
-
Cearah Parchment had a double-double, with 17 points, 10 steals and 7 rebounds.
-
Berry Wallace kept up her great season with an efficient 17 points and 4 rebounds.
-
Maddie Webber might just be the best option off the bench; she had 15 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds.
Moments that Mattered
Parchment continued this all game long.
I would expect to see a lot more of this from Webber throughout the season.
You really don’t see this every day.
What’s next?
The Illini will be in action next on Tuesday to face Bellarmine. Then, after that game concludes, Big Ten basketball will finally be on the clock as the Indiana Hoosiers roll into town for a matchup on Saturday.
