In-State Standout Aidyn Reese Sends 2027 Verbal Pledge to FSU Seminoles
NEW COMMIT: Florida State University has earned a new verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from breaststroker and sprint freestyler Aidyn Reese. Reese hails from Windermere, Florida, about 250 miles northwest of Tallahassee.
Her older sister, Addison Reese, is currently a sophomore butterflyer at the University of Florida.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am so thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to pursue my athletic and academic career at Florida State University. I would like to thank Coach Kyle Goller for always believing in me and helping me become a better person in and out the pool. I also want to thank Coach All and Coach KC for their nonstop support, as well as my family, friends, teammates, and all of the FSU coaches who have supported me throughout this amazing process. Can’t wait to start this next chapter of my life!! GOOO NOLES!!!”
Reese does her club swimming with Laker Swim Club and is a Junior National qualifier. She sweep the 50m, 100m and 200m breast at Florida Long Course Seniors last summer before going on to compete at Ocala Futures and Junior Nationals. She finaled in five events at Florida Spring Championships last March.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:03.42
- 200 breast – 2:15.83
- 50 free – 23.49
- 100 free – 50.97
- 200 IM – 2:04.34
Currently a junior at Windermere High School, Reese placed third in the 100 breast and fourth in the 200 IM at the 2025 Florida 4A State Championships, also helping her team win the 4×50 medley relay. The Scholastic All-American finished fourth in the 100 breast and sixth in the 200 IM at the state meet as a sophomore in 2024 while leading her squad to first in the 4×50 free relay.
Reese would’ve ranked third in the 200 breast and fifth in both the 100 breast and 200 IM on the Seminoles’ lineup a season ago.
