India Playing XI vs West Indies- 2nd Test, West Indies Tour of India 2025:
Openers: KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal
India would like to replicate the performance the team delivered in the first Test against West Indies in the upcoming match as well, in a bid to seal another series on home soil.
The home side looked like a well-rounded unit with both bat and ball, and in the field, as almost every player fulfilled his role, and will be expected to do the same in the match scheduled to be played in Delhi.

The opening duo of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal continued the good work they did in the Test series against England and stitched a solid partnership for the first wicket, with KL Rahul scoring a century.
This was Rahul’s second Test hundred at home after almost a decade, when he fell one run short of a double hundred against England.
Jaiswal, on the other hand, started cautiously and changed gears after getting set, only to get out in an attempt to keep the run rate up.
KL Rahul would wish to build on the match-winning century when he goes out to bat in the second Test, while Jaiswal would want to convert the start that he gets into a big score.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Sai Sudharshan, Shubman Gill (c), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy
The opening pair will be followed by a middle order that also pounced on the opportunity and scored handsomely against an inexperienced bowling lineup of the Windies.
The run fest started by KL Rahul was carried on by Shubman Gill, who scored his maiden half-century as India’s captain in Test matches at home, Dhruv Jurel, who scored his maiden Test hundred, and Ravindra Jadeja, who also scored a century.
The only player who will be disappointed among the three would be Gll, as he failed to convert the half-century into a big score and would have his eyes set on it in the next match.
Amidst all the moments to cherish, Sai Sudharshan’s form would be something that the team management would have taken note of as the left-hander struggled to rotate strike after the good start that India got, and was eventually dismissed by Roston Chase.
The hosts would hope for him to get a big score in the next match to gain confidence for the games to come.
Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
As far as the bowling department is concerned, it will be expected to do its job once again, like it did in the first match.
The onus will be on Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah to pick wickets with the new ball and make things easy for the spinners.
India is expected to go with the same spin bowling combination of Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar, and would bank on them to do what all three do best, i.e., to pick wickets as the ball gets soft.
Ravindra Jadeja had a good Test match with the ball as well and fulfilled his role as the senior spinner in the side to the best of his abilities, and would look to carry that form in the upcoming game with support from Kuldeep and Washington.
