Injuries got in the way of Caitlin Clark’s second WNBA season with the Indiana Fever. The former Rookie of the Year dealt with multiple soft tissue injuries throughout the campaign. Ultimately, a right groin injury forced the Fever to shut her down for the second half of the 2025 season.
Clark played just 13 games in her second season, averaging 16.5 points on 36.7% shooting, 5.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 31.1 minutes per contest. She also knocked down 2.2 triples per game on a 27.9% clip.

The WNBA and the players’ union are currently still negotiating a new CBA. The two sides still fall apart on key issues, including players’ salaries and benefits, revenue sharing and roster sizes, to name a few.
Despite the extended negotiations, both sides remain optimistic about reaching an agreement and avoiding a potential lockout. A testament to this is that the WNBA has already announced the 2026 season schedule.

In line with this, the Fever took to social media to announce their schedule for the upcoming season.
Clark has already recovered from her groin injury, and she is fully expected to be ready for the start of the 2026 season. The Fever open their campaign at home with a matchup against the Dallas Wings on May 9, with Clark and Paige Bueckers taking center stage.
The Fever face the Chicago Sky three times this season, which is two fewer games than their five matchups in 2025. Clark and Angel Reese square off for the first time on June 11 in a Commissioner’s Cup matchup at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Fever face the Sky twice in August (8th and 23rd), with the games to be played at the United Center and the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, respectively.
Clark and Co. will battle A’ja Wilson and the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, three times in 2026. Their first matchup is scheduled on Jul. 5 in Vegas.
The final game of the season for the Fever will be on Sept. 24 on the road against Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx.
The WNBA playoffs are scheduled to start on Sept. 27. The Fever have made it to the postseason for two straight years, and they will be looking to make it three in a row in 2026.

The Fever were eliminated in the semifinals last season, and their goal this year will be to take the next step, with Clark now in the mix.
The Fever last won the WNBA title in 2012. That was the one and only time they won a championship since the franchise was established in 2000.
