The Indiana Fever have had a tumultuous 2025 WNBA season. With their superstar, Caitlin Clark remaining sidelined, having now missed 19 total games this season, this Fever team could have easily found their way to the bottom of the WNBA standings.

However, they continue to persevere, despite even more injuries mounting on Thursday. Fever guards, Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson both left Thursday’s contest against the Phoenix Mercury. They have both since been shutdown for the remainder of the season with McDonald tearing her ACL in her left knee and Colson breaking a bone in her right foot.

Amidst these season-ending injuries, the Fever found themselves on the wrong side of what could be deemed as bad luck. After coming off a five-game winning streak, they proceeded to lose two in a row.

Fast forward to Saturday, however, and their presumed good luck charm entered the equation. After beating the Chicago Sky 92-70 on Saturday night, the Fever have now won every game they’ve worn their “Stranger Things” rebel jerseys.

The Fever debuted their “Stranger Things” rebel jerseys on July 24 in collaboration with Netflix. They beat the Las Vegas Aces that night 80-70.

The second appearance of the “Stranger Things” rebel jerseys came against the Mercury on July 30. They won that game 107-101.

And their third game wearing these jerseys came on Saturday against the Sky. The Fever are now 3-0 in what appear to be their good luck charm.

Indiana Fever forward Damiris Dantas (12), Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham (8) and Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull (10) huddle up Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, during a game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Even as Clark remains sidelined, without a timeline to return to game action, the Fever sit in fifth place in the WNBA standings with a record of 18-14.

They have now won six of their last eight games and All-Star guard, Kelsey Mitchell surpassed Napheesa Collier for the most total points scored this season after dropping 26 points on the Sky (637). With Clark as well as Angel Reese both sidelined for this one, the Fever’s supporting cast was too much for the Sky to handle.

The next game the Fever will don their “Stranger Things” rebels jerseys comes in their next game on Tuesday. They’ll take on Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings and will look to extend their good-luck winning streak to 4-0.
