UFC 319 has taken a hit a little over 48 hours from the pay-per-view event.
Multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed to MMA Fighting that the lightweight featured preliminary bout between King Green and Diego Ferreira has been scratched from the card. BJPENN was first to report, citing Ferreira informed them the bout was off.
A person with knowledge of the situation tells MMA Fighting that Green suffered an undisclosed injury and was forced to withdraw from the bout. Green looked to get back on track after getting stopped in back-to-back fights against Paddy Pimblett and Mauricio Ruffy.
Ferreira also looked to get back in the win column after losing a decision to Grant Dawson at UFC 311 in January, which put an end to his two-fight win streak.
UFC 319 moves forward with 14 fights, including the highly anticipated middleweight championship main event between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev. As of now, the UFC has yet to reveal which fight will headline the ESPN preliminary slate.
