Iowa basketball unveils concession plans for new courtside seating

by

With both the Iowa men’s and women’s basketball seasons quickly approaching, the Hawkeyes have unveiled concession plans for the new courtside seats at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The new courtside seats will be a riser with a capacity for over 200 individuals along the sidelines, which will give Carver-Hawkeye Arena a much more raucous feel. Previously, students were seated far behind the south baseline due to the oval-shaped seating configuration of Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

For those new seats, Iowa Athletics plans to offer floor-level concession options, which should be a significant upgrade compared to the traditional general admission options.

While the anticipation for the potential success of both seasons only increases by the day, the hunger for Hawkeyes basketball will be first met on Oct. 30, when the women’s program plays its lone exhibition contest against Division II-level Ashland.
