Iowa (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) is prepping for its annual rivalry date against Wisconsin (2-3, 0-2 Big Ten) where the Hawkeyes will look to retain the Heartland Trophy.
In November of last year, Iowa handed Wisconsin its worst loss in the series dating back to 1968. A large part of that success came on the ground as the Hawkeyes racked up 329 rushing yards, which was its most against the Badgers since 1990.

As Iowa looks to replicate another strong performance against Wisconsin in 2025, the Hawkeyes will do so without two of its running backs and one of its starting linebackers.
Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz ruled out junior running back Jaziun Patterson and sophomore back Terrell Washington Jr. The Hawkeyes will also be missing graduate linebacker Jaden Harrell.
“Injury-wise, just don’t see Jaz (Patterson) coming back. I don’t think that’s going to be a possibility and then TJ Washington probably won’t make it either, so stays the same. Jaden (Harrell) came out of the game last time we played, and I don’t see him being back either. Pretty sure those guys will all be out,” Ferentz said.
Iowa’s date against Wisconsin from Camp Randall Stadium will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on FS1 this Saturday.
