Iowa women’s basketball (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten) released its game day availability report as the 14th-ranked Hawkeyes ready to square off against Northwestern (6-8, 0-3 Big Ten) from Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Ill.
The Hawkeyes will once again be without starting graduate guard Kylie Feuerbach and sophomore wing Emely Rodriguez. Feuerbach and Rodriguez were both listed as out on the Hawkeyes’ game day availability report.

Feuerbach suffered an ankle injury during Iowa’s Dec. 20 loss versus No. 1 UConn. After playing just nine minutes against UConn, Feuerbach didn’t play in either of the Hawkeyes’ two most recent games against either Penn State or Nebraska.
In 12 games played, Feuerbach is averaging 5.3 points, 3.2 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game on 34.0% field goal shooting and 29.4% 3-point shooting.
Iowa head women’s basketball coach Jan Jensen commented on Feuerbach’s injury on Dec. 29.
“It was killing her not to play. But, her status is day-to-day. Her ankle. Unfortunately, that didn’t help us in that UConn game. She slipped on that logo and really got a pretty unique jammed ankle. So, we’re day by day and going to see someone tomorrow again. So, I don’t know what her status will be for Nebraska and beyond,” Jensen said.

Rodriguez hasn’t played for Iowa since its Nov. 22 win over Miami. Rodriguez has been dealing with a back injury. Rodriguez is averaging 7.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists on 42.5% field goal shooting in six games played.
Iowa head women’s basketball coach Jan Jensen said on Dec. 29 that Rodriguez was back with the team, but still dealing with a back injury that has lingered.
“She’s back and she’s battling a back (injury). That’s been a chronic (injury) and that’s a day-to-day situation,” Jensen said.
Northwestern listed senior guard Sammy White and senior forward Lauren Trumpy as out.
