After earning a hard-fought Big Ten road win at Northwestern and after authoring its largest comeback victory since 2022 in a win at Indiana, Iowa women’s basketball (14-2, 5-0 Big Ten) was rewarded with a rankings rise in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
On Sunday afternoon in Bloomington, Ind., the Hawkeyes overcame a 16-point halftime deficit, outscoring the Hoosiers, 37-18, in the second half to secure a 56-53 victory.

The Hawkeyes’ comeback was driven by strong performances from Chit-Chat Wright (13 points, four steals, three assists, one rebound), Hannah Stuelke (12 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, two blocks), and Kylie Feuerbach’s defensive effort (limited Indiana’s leading scorer to two points in the second half).
Thanks to their two wins this week, Iowa was rewarded by the AP Top 25 poll voters with a three-spot increase, rising to No. 11.
The Big Ten is once again well represented in the latest AP Top 25 rankings. UCLA is ranked No. 3, Michigan No. 8, Maryland No. 12, Ohio State No. 14, Michigan State No. 15, Nebraska No. 24, and Illinois No. 25. Minnesota (12 votes), Washington (11 votes), USC (4), and Oregon (2 votes) are all receiving votes.
