Over the last five years, the Iowa women’s basketball program has turned into one of the best in the entire country.
From multiple runs to the National Championship game to landing commitments from top-tier prospects like five-star McKenna Woliczko, the Hawkeyes are well on their way to being one of the premier women’s college basketball programs in the nation. And another big part of that is the homecourt advantage.

Iowa is almost unbeatable at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, thanks to the passion of the sellout crowd. Iowa was 10-4 at home last season. The Hawkeyes have sold out their season tickets each of the last two seasons and took to X on Wednesday to announce that season tickets are sold out for the 2025-26 season now as well.
It’s the third-straight season that the women’s basketball team has sold out its season tickets at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The excitement around the team and program, led by second-year head coach Jan Jensen, is palpable, and fans are responding by selling out the season tickets. The environment has been electric inside Carver for the past few years, and things seem like they’ll be no different this season.
The Hawkeyes will open their 2025-26 season at home against Southern on November 3. That will be the first opportunity for fans to pack Carver and get a glimpse of this year’s team for the first time. The Big Ten home opener for Iowa will be on December 28, when the Hawkeyes host Penn State.
