Iowa women’s basketball shares behind-the-scenes 2025-26 first look

As Iowa women’s basketball’s Oct. 30 season-opening exhibition matchup is exactly five weeks away, the team and numerous players shared a unique behind-the-scenes look at their photo day, during which the program had their headshots and promotional videos taken for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.

With a tremendous amount of excitement surrounding the program, fueled by a plethora of top-tier recruiting visits recently, the energy shown by the Hawkeyes cannot be overstated as Iowa looks to build on a torrid finish to the 2024-25 campaign.

Jan Jensen enters her second season as head coach of the program and many fans expect the team’s talent-laden roster to compete near the top of the conference standings this season, alongside Big Ten foes such as Ohio State, UCLA, USC, and Maryland.

On Oct. 30, Iowa will host Division II foe Ashland from Carver-Hawkeye Arena in their opening exhibition contest.

Iowa’s regular-season opener will also be held at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, but it will come against Southern University on Nov. 4.
