Adding to her Big Ten Player of the Week and AP National Player of the Week recognition, Iowa women’s basketball senior forward Hannah Stuelke has been named the USBWA National Player of the Week.
Last week, the 6-foot-2 native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, scored 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting, grabbed eight rebounds, and had a career-high eight assists in a win over Oregon. Then, the Hawkeyes‘ senior leader followed up with a 22-point performance on 10-for-14 shooting, adding nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block in Iowa’s victory over Michigan State.
So far this season, Stuelke is averaging 14.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 55.3% from the floor. Stuelke has also recorded 25 steals on the campaign.

Stuelke was joined by four others that were also honored as the Ann Meyers Drysdale National Players of the Week, including Georgia guard Dani Carnegie, Syracuse guard Dominique Darius, Oklahoma State guard Stailee Heard and Columbia guard Nasi Simmons.
Stuelke and the rest of the Hawkeyes (16-2, 7-0 Big Ten) will look to remain unbeaten in conference play on Thursday, Jan. 22, when they visit the XFINITY Center for a matchup against No. 13 Maryland (17-3, 5-3) in College Park, Md. The contest is scheduled to tip off at 5 p.m. CT and will stream on Peacock.
