The Arizona Wildcats picked up the best win of the season so far when they upset defending national champion Florida on opening night.

They’re back in action on Friday night when they host Utah Tech.

Bryce James didn’t get to take part in that opening win, just watching from the sideline and helping to hype his teammates up.

The freshman son of LeBron James is still awaiting his college debut.

Is Bryce James playing tonight?

Bryce James is expected to be healthy and available to play Friday night against Utah Tech if Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd puts him in the ballgame.

He’s not a part of the rotation this early in his college career, but a matchup with Utah Tech could provide the perfect one-sided contest to get Bryce his first few minutes in a low-stakes environment.

The last name brings heightened expectations, but the 6-foot-5 Bryce’s skill level isn’t immense at this point.

A season ago, he averaged eight points and four rebounds per game at Sierra Canyon School. The summer prior on the Nike EYBL circuit, he did even less.

Bryce isn’t even the best player from his AAU team in the freshman class at Arizona. Guard Brayden Burries is starting right away after being a top-10 recruit.

Don’t expect a lot of Bryce, even against Utah Tech. But his debut seems like a distinct possibility.
