The Indiana Fever are prepared to take on the Atlanta Dream in the first round of the 2025 WNBA playoffs on Sunday.
However, they’ll have to do so without their best player.
Superstar guard Caitlin Clark will not play in the series after being shut down for the rest of the year earlier in September. A handful of injuries piled up over the season, causing her to only play in 13 games.

Rather than risk further injury, the Fever decided to sideline her for the rest of the 2025 season to get her back healthy for the 2026 season.
While the Fever will surely want her out there, they’ll have to make do for now without Clark in the lineup.
It’s a tough break, if not an altogether unexpected one.
