WNBA MVP candidate Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx is active for Sunday night’s game against the Indiana Fever.
Collier — who averages a league-leading 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals (third) and 1.6 blocked shots (fourth) — has not played since suffering an ankle injury Aug. 2.

Minnesota went 5-2 in her absence, including a 95-90 victory over the Fever on Friday night. Collier had been listed questionable on Minnesota’s injury report the previous two games but did not play.

Borrowing a page from Michael Jordan’s career, she simply stated in a team release: “I’m back.”
The Lynx (29-7) have the WNBA’s best record, 5.5 games clear of the Atlanta Dream entering Sunday’s action.
