Iwo Baraniewski was the biggest betting underdog at Dana White’s Contender Series 82, and he needed just 20 seconds to score a stunning knockout of Mahamed Aly.
Baraniewski (6-0) timed a perfect overhand right during one of the opening exchanges of the light heavyweight contest Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, putting Aly (4-1) down and badly hurt. A few more shots sealed the deal for the lightning-fast finish.

Baraniewski registered the fifth-fastest knockout in the history of DWCS, and the 26-year-old from Poland said he thinks he can make noise in the UFC light heavyweight division once signed to a contract by UFC CEO Dana White.
“I’m very happy to get another finish in the first round, so welcome,” Baraniewski said in his post-fight interview with Laura Sanko. “Yes I think (I can do big things in the UFC).”
