WACO, Texas — Auburn football brought Oklahoma transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold in to help recharge its passing attack, but fittingly enough, the former Sooner’s first touchdown as a Tiger came on the ground in Friday’s contest against Baylor.
It gave the Tigers’ a 7-3 first quarter lead over the Bears, as Arnold scrambled for a 24-yard score to cap a 12-play, 96-yard scoring drive, which was Auburn‘s first of the season.
The junior showed his capabilities on the ground as Oklahoma’s starter for much of 2024, tallying 444 rush yards and 3 rushing touchdowns, including a career-high 131 rush yards in a 24-3 upset of Alabama.

He also had a 75-rush yard effort in the next week’s contest against LSU, and he generated 97 rush yards and two rushing touchdowns in an early season win over Tulane.
