Jacksonville Classic basketball returns in 2025: Which teams will play on the First Coast?

For the fifth consecutive year, the Jacksonville Classic will welcome men’s college basketball programs to the First Coast with a 10-team, three-day tournament in November just before Thanksgiving.

The competition will extend from Sunday, Nov. 23 through Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Adams-Jenkins Sports and Music Complex at Edward Waters University.

Scheduled to face off are Abilene Christian, Delaware, Georgia Southern, Southern Illinois, UAB, UNC Greensboro, UTEP, Texas-San Antonio, William & Mary and Youngstown State.

The colleges represent eight conferences, with Conference USA (Delaware and UTEP) and the American Athletic Conference (UAB and UTSA) sending two teams apiece.

The exact pairings and game times remain to be determined.

The 2025 tournament represents an expansion from 2024, when the Jacksonville Classic brought Detroit Mercy, Tulsa, Austin Peay, Georgia State, Texas-Arlington and Rhode Island. The inaugural edition took place in 2021.
