UFC Fight Night 264: Jacqueline Cavalcanti full post-fight interview
UFC Fight Night 264 winner Jacqueline Cavalcanti talks to MMA Junkie and other reporters post-fight after her unanimous decision victory over Mayra Bueno Silva.
LAS VEGAS – Jacqueline Cavalcanti met the media Saturday after her win over Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC Fight Night 264.
Cavalcanti (10-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) outworked Silva (10-6-1 MMA, 5-6-1 UFC) on the prelims at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. She said it was the biggest win of her career, given Silva recently challenged for the women’s bantamweight title.
“Oh yeah, it’s the biggest of my career,” Cavalcanti said. “(In January 2024), she fought for the belt. Now she fights me, and I think I showed everybody it’s not a hard fight – it’s easy (for me).”
Cavalcanti, likely to now be in the top 10 of the rankings, said she’d like to start making her climb now. She’s got eight wins in a row, and her first five in the UFC – all by decision.
“In 2026, I want to fight three or four times,” Cavalcanti said. “All day, I’m ready. I never stop training. … My next opponent, I want Macy (Chiasson) or Irene Aldana. Irene Aldana, for me, is the best (opponent). She’s had a big career, she fought a couple years ago for the belt, she’s very good – I want to fight her.”
