Jake Something’s surprise debut ahead of the January 7 episode of AEW Dynamite just got a major update—and it involves more than just a backstage assault.
According to Fightful Select, the former TNA Wrestling star is now officially signed to All Elite Wrestling and going by a new ring name: Jake Doyle. His AEW debut came in a pre-show digital segment where he attacked both members of JetSpeed—Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight—on behalf of The Don Callis Family.
Behind the scenes, Doyle’s arrival comes just days after his TNA contract expired on January 1. Sources confirmed that while his deal was originally expected to run into late 2026, the expiration happened earlier than anticipated, clearing the path for his AEW debut.
As of now, Doyle is expected to appear regularly alongside Mark Davis in The Don Callis Family, especially with Kyle Fletcher shifting into a singles run. AEW appears to be moving quickly to position Doyle as a serious threat within Callis’ growing army.
TNA, meanwhile, had continued advertising Doyle and other unsigned talent for their upcoming AMC debut—despite no new deals in place. That led to some confusion before the AEW move became public.
This development marks a fresh start for Jake Doyle in a new environment, and it could reshape AEW’s roster dynamics heading into 2026.
