Just a month before the WNBA playoffs, Colorado Buffaloes hero Jaylyn Sherrod has signed a rest-of-season contract with the Minnesota Lynx.
Sherrod was released by the New York Liberty last week. She only played 37 minutes in New York’s title winning season, but her real value was on the practice court, where she was tasked with hounding star guards Sabrina Ionescu and Courtney Vandersloot.

Sherrod’s role increased this season, but the Liberty still chose to waive her when three-time Euroleague MVP Emma Meesseman returned to the WNBA last week.
Now on the Lynx, first in the WNBA standings with a 27-5 record, Sherrod’s role will largely the same: prepare Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams for the rigor of the WNBA playoffs.
