Jazmyn Nyx is officially on her way out of WWE, and now we finally know when she’ll be a free agent.
According to Fightful Select, Nyx’s WWE contract is set to expire in October, and that’s when she’ll be “free and clear” to make her next move.
The September 23 episode of WWE NXT marked her final appearance for the company, where she was written out of storylines in a brutal way. Jacy Jayne didn’t hold back, saying it was time to “drop the dead weight,” before walking away with Fallon Henley and leaving Nyx behind.
Now it’s clear why. According to PWInsider, Nyx turned down a new contract offer from WWE. Multiple sources confirmed she declined the company’s proposal, and WWE responded by cutting her out of her current storyline.
Nyx later addressed her decision in an emotional Instagram video, calling it both a personal and financial choice.
“I’m not re-signing with WWE. This was a personal decision. The contract they were offering me for the next three years just wasn’t going to cut it for me financially.”
She explained how her journey to WWE began with an opportunity that came while she was playing professional soccer in Iceland. Although grateful for the chance, Nyx faced serious setbacks throughout her tenure, including four knee surgeries and multiple injuries that kept her off television.
“Early on, I was held back — I had four knee surgeries and had to recover and rebuild my knees before I could even step in the ring. As some of you know, I broke my nose, which is why I was wearing my mask. I also had other injuries and concussions that kept me off TV for a while.”
Nyx also hinted that she passed on other career opportunities while working in WWE, but now she plans to revisit them.
“Let’s just say there were other opportunities I had to turn down and pass up. Now that I’m out of a job, I can finally explore those options and take them more seriously.”
While WWE’s offer didn’t match what she was looking for, Nyx’s next chapter is wide open. Whether she jumps to AEW, lands in TNA, or returns to soccer, her fans—and her peers—will definitely be watching.
