No. 14 Tennessee (6-2, 3-2 SEC) is preparing for a top-20 matchup at Neyland Stadium in Week 10. The Vols will host No. 18 Oklahoma (6-2, 2-2 SEC) on Saturday.
Ahead of game day, Pete Nakos of On3 provided an update on Tennessee junior defensive back Jermod McCoy. He suffered a torn ACL injury in January and has not played for the Vols in 2025.

“Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy continues to work to return this season, barring a setback, sources tell Chris Low and me for On3,” Nakos announced on social media. “The All-American was in pads at practice on Tuesday but remains limited, sources said.”
McCoy is in his second season at Tennessee in 2025.
As a sophomore in 2024, he recorded 44 tackles, 0.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, 71 interception yards, 13 pass deflections, six punt returns and 59 punt return yards in 13 games. McCoy also earned 2024 All-SEC First-Team honors (AP).
Kickoff between the Vols and Sooners on Saturday is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT (ABC).
