By the time Selection Sunday arrives, there will have been plenty of movement in the projected field of 68 for the 2026 NCAA tournament regarding the teams that are in, as well as those looking to get in.

While our Tuesday and Friday Bracketology updates allow us to look at the race to March Madness holistically twice a week, results every day matter and can affect teams — whether they’re playing or not.

Men’s Bracketologist Joe Lunardi is tracking every relevant game every night — and why shouldn’t you?

Here, we provide an inside look at the headlines and upcoming matchups that inform Joey Brackets’ calculations on any given night, as he projects the teams that could have their names called on Selection Sunday (March 15).

A couple of housekeeping things: This page will update every day around lunchtime, between Monday and Saturday. Games are listed in order of importance to bracket movement. A team’s projection on that day is listed in parentheses if not otherwise noted.

HEADLINES

  • Top seeds as risk tonight: We haven’t been this close to a change on the top line in weeks; UConn‘s 1-seed is on the line tonight, with surging Houston having a chance to pass the Huskies for the fourth No. 1 seed.

  • Movement right behind: Purdue‘s overtime win at Nebraska created a seed swap: The Boilermakers now sit as the last 2-seed, while the Cornhuskers slide to the 3-line.

  • A bubble update: TCU was the big winner Tuesday, picking up its fourth Quadrant 1 win and moving into the projected field as Last Team In (replacing New Mexico).

  • Teams that rose after Tuesday: Purdue, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, TCU

  • Teams that fell after Tuesday: Nebraska, North Carolina, New Mexico

GAMES THAT COULD AFFECT THE BRACKET

  • (1) UConn at Butler. The Huskies need a road victory to preserve their current No. 1 seed. 7:30 p.m., TNT

  • (3) Florida at (9) Georgia. A win over white-hot Florida would all but clinch a bid for the Bulldogs. 7 p.m., ESPN2

  • (First Team Out) Missouri at (8) Texas A&M. This is a huge opportunity for Mizzou to move solidly inside the cut line. 9 p.m., SEC Network

  • (Last Four Byes) USC at (First Four Out) Ohio State. The Buckeyes could be back in the field with a convincing win and favorable results elsewhere. 6:30 p.m., BTN

  • (First Four Out) Cal at Syracuse. The Golden Bears have to find a way to escape their first ACC visit to Syracuse with a win to keep from dropping further. 7 p.m., ESPNU

  • (First Four Out) New Mexico at Grand Canyon. The Lobos are suddenly playing for their season in a crowded Mountain West field. 9 p.m., FS1
