Joe Pyfer promises to bring the fight to Israel Adesanya.
Pyfer (15-3 MMA, 6-1 UFC) meets former middleweight champion Adesanya (24-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 271 main event on March 28 from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle (Paramount+).

Adesanya will return after a more than year-long layoff, which he took after three consecutive losses, most recently a TKO to Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Fight Night 250 last February. A prolific finisher, Pyfer won’t hold back against Adesanya.
“I got this opportunity, and I’m absolutely bringing the heat,” Pyfer said on “The Ariel Helwani Show.” “I’m going to try to be the first one to stop him in a really bad way, in a competitive way, and I hope we’re both healthy afterwards, but I know I have those capabilities over anyone in the division to really hurt someone where they don’t move. I’m just excited to test my skills.”
Pyfer has opened up as the betting favorite against Adesanya.
“I think that’s people sleeping on him because he’s on a three-fight losing streak, but they’re to the best guys in the world and the active guys in the world,” Pyfer said. “You can’t look too much into the odds, bro.”
