“Bodybagz” is expecting violence.
Surging Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight contender Joe Pyfer is set to compete in the biggest fight of his career when he clashes with former two-time Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in the main event of UFC Seattle on Sat., March 28, 2026, inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Pyfer is known for his finishing ability — he has five finishes in the Octagon, including three brutal knockouts, and holds an 87 percent overall finish rate. The 29-year-old is confident he can stop “The Last Stylebender.”
“I got this opportunity, and I’m absolutely bringing the heat,” Pyfer told Ariel Helwani. “I’m going to try to be the first one to stop him in a really bad way. In a competitive way, and I hope we’re both healthy afterwards, but I have those capabilities over anyone in the division to really hurt someone where they don’t move. I’m just excited to test my skills.”
“I’m going to be a really physical guy, putting pressure, but smart pressure,” he added. “I’m going to cause damage. I won’t go into too much detail, but we’re already drafting people to mimic him for our gameplan. I have my homework cut out for me, but I’m going to be very effective…as long as I’m healthy. You will see the best version of me, and I think I’m going to get the finish — whether it’s a submission or a knockout.”
Adesanya has been notoriously durable throughout his kickboxing and MMA career, but he is currently in the worst skid of his iconic career, having lost three straight fights, been finished in two of them, and has been knocked out in two of his last five losses (watch highlights). Even so, “The Last Stylebender” remains one of the trickiest and most technical fighters in the division, and he will need to be on top of his game to handle Pyfer’s pressure.
Pyfer also revealed he hopes to fight on next year’s historic UFC White House card, calling himself “one of the most American motherf—kers out there” and eager to make his mark.
