Joe Rogan expects big things from Gable Steveson.
Steveson (2-0) needed just 24 seconds to knock out Kevin Hein (2-2) in their heavyweight main event last month at APFC 21. Steveson connected with a left hand early and quickly turned it into a takedown – but Hein was already out cold once they hit the mat.

Rogan was in awe of how fast Steveson looked in the fight-ending sequence, and thinks he can eventually pose big problems for the UFC’s heavyweight division.
“The heavyweight division is so devoid of talent. Gable Steveson is the f*cking guy,” Rogan said on a recent episode of his “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. “That’s the guy. He’s not even in the UFC yet. Olympic gold medalist, f*cking freak athlete, 250 pounds, moves like a cat.
“I sent a text message to Dana White. I sent him a video of Gable’s last fight. I said, ‘Everyone’s f*cked when this guy comes out.’ He KO’ed this guy with a left hand and then took him down as he was knocked out. The speed that this guy has. Really good striking already, and he’s only been striking for like a f*cking year. … Everyone’s f*cked. That kind of speed is nuts for a heavyweight.”
Although the 25-year-old Olympic gold medalist wrestler has just two MMA fights and one Dirty Boxing bout, he’s hoping that he got UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard’s attention to take his career to the next level.
