John Cena Expected to Make His Final WWE SmackDown Appearance in Chicago

by

We are nearing the end of John Cena’s retirement tour and he’s set to appear on this week’s episode of SmackDown. With that in mind, it seems this appearance might be his last for the blue brand.

According to WrestleVotes, some people in WWE believe tomorrow night could be John Cena’s last SmackDown. A source said Cena has only seven dates left on his schedule, with just two of them not yet announced. It’s unlikely any of those will be for SmackDown, which means Cena may have started and ended his SmackDown run in the same place, Chicago’s Allstate Arena.

“We’re told some within WWE are quietly expecting tomorrow night to be John Cena’s final SmackDown. According to a source, with only seven remaining dates left—and just two yet to be announced—it’s unlikely another will be a SmackDown event, meaning Cena will have debuted and ended his run on the blue brand in the very same building, Chicago’s Allstate Arena.”

John Cena also defeated Logan Paul at the Clash in Paris Premium Live Event. With Wrestlepalooza on the horizon, we’ll have to see how WWE will book Cena in the coming weeks.

John Cena’s legacy will always be connected to Friday Night SmackDown, the show that first made him a star. If this week really is his final appearance on the blue brand, it will be a historic and emotional moment for fans everywhere.

Do you think John Cena’s appearance on SmackDown this week will truly be his last for the blue brand? Sound off in the comments.
