TROUP – Troup held off Bishop Gorman, 34-25, Friday at Tiger Gymnasium, in what was the Lady Tigers’ final game before launching district play early next week.
The fourth quarter efforts of senior Qhenja Jordan played a pivotal part in the Lady Tiger win.

Jordan scored nine of her game high 17 points in the final segment, which was highlighted by Jordan knocking in six-straight points in a span of 1:25 late in the period, that upped the Troup lead to 33-22, which was the Maroon and White’s largest advantage of the evening.
Jordan also drained two triples in the fourth frame.
Trailing 7-4 to open he second quarter, the Lady Tigers outscored the Lady Crusaders 15-5 in the second period, to take a 19-12 lead into the locker room at the break.
Completing the scoring for the Lady Tigers (9-7) was: Jakeira Davis (11), Paisley Skinner (4) and Hannah Cearley (2).

Leading he Lady Tigers in rebounds was Cearley (7) and Arielle Gordon (5).
Bishop Gorman’s top scorers were Emily Meeds and Rachael Mooney, who dropped in six and five points each.
Both teams had an off night from the charily stripe.
The Lady Crusaders made just 4-of-16 (25%) shots from the line, while Troup hit 3-of-10 (30%).
At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Lady Tigers will play their first district game of he season, with White Oak slated to provide he opposition.
