Junior National Finalist Charlotte Milkie Verbally Commits to USC for 2027
NEW COMMIT: Riverside, Calif. native Charlotte Milkie has elected to remain in-state for her college career, having announced her verbal commitment to the University of Southern California for Fall 2027. Milkie is a U.S. Open qualifier who specializes in the 100/200/500 freestyle.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am so blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic journey at the University of Southern California! ✨ A huge thank you to Coach Lea, Coach Meghan, and all USC coaching and staff for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. FIGHT ON!”
Milkie does her club swimming with Circle City Aquatics of Corona. She competed at Juniors West in December where she placed second in the 200 free, 13th in the 500 free and 18th in the 100 free. Her times in the 200 free and 500 free broke her club’s 15-16 and 15&O age group records.
Last summer, Milkie raced to second place in the 200m free and third place in the 100m free at Sacramento Futures. She then went on to place fifth in the 200m free and 13th in the 100m free at Junior Nationals.
Her best times include:
- 100 free – 49.95
- 200 free – 1:46.48
- 500 free – 4:49.13
Currently a junior at Santiago High School, Milkie took second in the 100 free and sixth in the 200 free at the 2025 CIF Souther Section Championship before going on to finish fourth and second, respectively, in those events at the CIF State Championship.
Milkie will be a huge addition to USC’s roster. She would’ve already scored in the B-final of the 200 free at the 2025 Big Ten Championships.
