Justin Rose’s caddie nets huge payday

by

With a brilliant performance at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Justin Rose lifted another trophy and made this season even more successful. It was 12 PGA Tour titles for the seasoned golfer who earned a serious amount of money with this win.

However, many seem to be turning their attention to his caddy, Mark 'Fooch' Fulcher, who could earn as much as £270,000.

Given that Rose earned £2.7 million as a winner, and it is known that caddies receive roughly 10% of the sum, Fulcher has every right to be happy.

The collaboration, which lasted as long as 11 years, was interrupted in 2019 when Fulcher had to recover after heart surgery. However, after some unsuccessful adventures with other caddies, Justin's wife Rose reacted four years later, deciding to call Fulcher again, aware of his qualities.

Fulcher recently revealed some of the details of the conversation in a media interview, stressing that Kate was the key to their renewed collaboration.

"'Does Fooch fancy coming back? The old boy's a bit miserable,'" Fulcher said.

"And I think my wife was saying, 'My old boy's a bit miserable, he's drinking too much wine and sitting on the couch,' so why not come back?"

Justin Rose's results

Looking at the English golfer's results this season, and in previous seasons, there is no doubt that his wife made the right move. Fulcher is delighted by the opportunity to work with the former number 1 again, and in an interview with the media two years ago he also revealed that not much has changed with Rose.

The only thing that is different is that Rose is more experienced now, but his personality has remained the same as on day one.

To find yourself in such a challenge is the dream of every caddie, and Rose has shown that he really knows how to appreciate his collaborators.

Fulcher is enjoying working with the experienced golfer, hoping that the future will write even more beautiful stories for them.
