The last time Ramos fought in front of his home fans in Brazil was nearly six years ago. It also was his first fight at featherweight, and he left Sao Paulo with a $50,000 bonus. It’s been rough since then with a 3-5 stretch, but maybe a home fight is the boost he needs. Australia’s Ofli, a cast member on Season 32 of “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2024, has dropped both his UFC fights since the show.

Although Ofli is a tough fighter who could grind Ramos out in the grappling realm on a good day, I’m not sure I can see him getting it done here.
Ramos has certainly had struggles with consistency and capitulation throughout his UFC career, but those instances typically came against more dangerous and proven products than Ofli is.
Even though I don’t like to play too much into the idea of “setup fights” given that the UFC’s schedule and content fulfillments are ultimately the promotion’s top priority, this feels like a spot where the hometown fighter should succeed.
The pick is for Ramos to get back on track with another highlight-reel finish in Round 1.
