Catchings, a sophomore forward, was Georgia’s leading scorer with 22 points. He also totaled seven rebounds and one steal. Catchings, the nephew of former Lady Vol and WNBA all-star Tamika Catchings, converted 8-of-14 field goal attempts, 4-of-8 three-point attempts and 2-of-5 free throw attempts.

Tamika Catchings is one of six Tennessee players to have their jersey numbers retired. She is one of two former Lady Vols to earn All-America honors from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association four times (1998-2001).

Tamika Catchings played professionally for the Indiana Fever from 2001-16 after being selected third overall in the 2000 WNBA draft. She was the league’s MVP in 2011. Catchings, a 10-time WNBA all-star, was the WNBA Finals MVP in 2012. The former Lady Vol earned WNBA Defensive Player of the Year five times (2005-06, 2009-10, 2012).

Internationally, she was a four-time Olympic gold medalist and is the only Lady Vols’ basketball player to appear in more than two Olympic Games.
