Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes preview

Harrison (19-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) will aim to defend her 135-pound crown for the first time after taking the division’s throne from Julianna Peña at UFC 316. The pairing against Nunes is a fight she expected after they faced off in the cage in June. Harrison’s current four-fight winning streak includes defeating Aspen Ladd in her final PFL bout, submitting Holly Holm in her UFC debut, and winning a unanimous decision against Ketlen Vieira to earn a title shot in just her third UFC fight.

The former two-division champion was the headliner of the 2025 UFC Hall of Fame class this summer. She indicated her intentions of returning to action during a fan Q&A at UFC 316, and clarified it would not be just for one fight.
