Khabib Nurmagomedov touts two future champions from his team

by

Khabib Nurmagomedov has an ever-growing stable of champions.

Team Khabib currently has Islam Makhachev as UFC welterweight champion and Usman Nurmagomedov as PFL lightweight champion. Usman (20-0) defends his title against Alfie Davis (20-5-1) in Saturday’s PFL Dubai (ESPN App) headliner at Coca-Cola Arena Dubai.

However, there are two other undefeated standouts on Khabib’s team that he wants everyone to keep an eye out for.

“It’s going to be two guys I really want people to pay attention, I don’t think somebody in the world can beat these guys: It’s Renat Khavalov at bantamweight and Amru Magomedov at lightweight,” Nurmagomedov said in a recent scrum (h/t Red Corner MMA). “I don’t see many people in the world who can beat them.

“Maybe I can say one, two, maybe three guys can give them a hard time because I’ve been in this sport in general so many years. I was in professional sports since I was a kid, and even when I wasn’t competing, I saw so many champions, and these two guys I don’t think many people can even give them a hard time.”

Former Eagle FC bantamweight champion Renat Khavalov (10-0) takes on Edgars Skrivers (17-4) on the PFL Dubai prelims, and former UAE Warriors lightweight champion Amru Magomedov (9-0) meets Kolton Englund (15-4) in the featured prelim of the night.
