KL Rahul medical bulletin issued after batter faces fitness problem in India A vs Australia A clash

Indian opener KL Rahul has faced some concerns over his fitness, as a result of which he had to walk off the field during the India A vs Australia A clash in Lucknow. However, reports claimed that it was just a precautionary measure and he would come out to bat tomorrow.

India batter KL Rahul last played for India in the longest format of the game against England back in the month of July-August. He scored 500+ runs in the series and was one of the most prominent batters for India.

After undergoing the fitness tests, the opening batter went on to feature for India A in the ongoing series against Australia A. Though he could not do much in the first innings, he played a flawless innings in the second innings of the game.

Injury woes strike the Indian team, with the lead batter retired hurt during the Australia A encounter

Just a few days before the start of Team India’s two-match Test series against the West Indies, star batter KL Rahul has reportedly sustained an injury. During the second unofficial Test between India A and Australia A, KL Rahul had to walk back to the pavilion after he was seen in extreme pain.

Just a few minutes before Stumps on Day 3, KL Rahul had to leave after sustaining an injury. The star opener walked off the field with the team’s physiotherapist. He played a promising knock of 74* runs at a strike rate of nearly 80.

Keeping aside the major blow for India A, if KL Rahul is ruled out, even the Indian team will go on to face a major blow ahead of the West Indies series.

Reports claim KL Rahul is fine now and is all set to take the field against Australia A

Reports from TOI Reporter Gaurav Gupta claim that Indian Test opener KL Rahul, who retired hurt today while batting for India A against Australia A, is ‘fine now’ and will come out to bat tomorrow. He had retired hurt, citing precautionary measures.

On the other hand, the RevSportz have claimed that Indian batter Rahul had a fever, as a result of which he walked back to the pavilion despite batting on 74*.

Indian selectors have made some promising changes to the Indian squad for the upcoming series against the West Indies. The series marks the absence of Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant due to injury, as a result of which Narayan Jagadeesan has been included in the side.

Devdutt Padikkal, the seasoned Karnataka youngster, has been recalled into the Indian side, replacing Karun Nair. Nair missed the selections due to his poor performance in the England series. Padikkal has earlier played two Tests for India, one against England and the other against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
