The right-handed batter reached his 11th hundred in Test cricket and celebrated the milestone on Day 2 (Friday, October 3) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Men in Blue commenced the second day’s play at 121/2 with Rahul (53*) and Shubman Gill (18*) at the crease. Skipper Shubman Gill reached his half-century in the morning session. However, Shubman was dismissed for 50 runs off Roston Chase’s bowling. Notably, it was India’s only wicket in the session.
